About the Author
Marc De Bremaeker has been involved in Martial Arts for over fifty years. Once a successful traditional and full-contact Karate competitor renowned for flashy kicking, he has since taken to teaching and researching the common roots and principles uniting all world fighting arts. He has authored an encyclopedic book series about Martial Arts Kicks widely received with acclaim. Holding black belts from several schools and organizations, he has also traveled the world to learn from various fighting styles, with special interest in kicking and kick drilling methods. Ground Kicks is his fifth book on the subject.

Very informative. I liked the concept of comparing different styles' versions of a specific move within certain parameters. Here Ground Work and the others (low kicks, stop kicks, etc). take me back to the drawing board with a new appreciation for some basics that I have previously taken for granted. I especially liked the conditioning section. I would've liked to have seen a little more on the Capiera moves. It seems that the same Capiera picture or move is used throughout the book where as the other styles had much more in the way of illustration and explanation.

Excellent book i expected more though.There i alot of kicks from the ground such as the spinning hook an heal etc.Was really looking for something that i didn't know.Somewhat disappointed but in all a good book for someone who dosen't know alot.Raven
