Clean, whole food based recipes

Straightforward, whole food recipes and lots of raw options
Local Grocery Store Ingredients-friendly
Includes Nutritional Information for each recipe
Recipes separated, not only for Pre or Post workout, but by time as well

Cons:
Formating of ebook could use some "polishing"

I'm not a bodybuilder, lol, but I am always looking for new recipes for smoothies and the cover caught my eye. I'm glad to have downloaded the book, it has a variety of clean whole food recipes, requiring minimal cooking and many that are even raw. The book begins with a short introduction on nutrition principles when working out - what to look for and how they help prepare your body before working out and repair your body after working out. I also like that the recipes were divided, not only for pre and post workout, but also giving you a timeline, like recipes for 2-4 hours before exercising, or if you have only 30 minutes to eat before you workout. The recipes included have ingredients that are pretty accessible - you could easily find these at the store. The only ingredients I could see having trouble finding would be sprouts, date "honey" and cherimoya. I can't get sprouts from my local grocer, I would have to go out of my way to a specialty health food store for that, though I am learning to grow that myself at home. I guess the same could be said for date "honey"(it's not really honey, it's vegan), but I have found recipes online to make that at home as well. Other than that, I could see using substitutes for those ingredients and they also list agave nectar as a replacement for the date "honey". Also, I don't think that any of the recipes call for any oil at all, again these recipes are very clean and whole foods based. It's an interesting collection, and gave me a lot of ideas to try out, especially for smoothies. The only thing I'd change about this book is a few areas needing some clean up in formatting, like the nutrition information being aligned right, or better page breaks between recipes. Overall, it's a nice collection of clean whole food recipes.

Not a lot of solid advice, but good recipes. And it sets you up with a plan for eating. An expensive plan.

Good recipes

Well boyfriend is the one who asked me to get this book but I'm the one who is cooking his meals so I had to read the recipes. He liked the meals but few of the ingredients listed aren't easily available in the grocery stores. He is a vegan and I got some vegan recipe books for him but this one is specially for bodybuilding. We both hit the gym and I'm following ketogenic diet as of now.
I prepared the recovery smoothie which contains cherries, banana, raw vegetables, strawberries and spinach! He found it good.
Today I cooked crockpot vegan curry which came out okay.
