New fan of vampire books?! Yes I sure am!!!!

I am normally not a fan of vampire books, but with the second one I have read from this writer I am quickly changing my mind! Her ability to make their lives very real and attainable is incredible! In this one Izzy and Nevi meet unexpectedly and her hopes of a new beginning on New Years starts to take real shape. Then she meets Geoffrey and everything starts to turn upside down in the weirdest possible way. Geoffrey shows her that he wants her and that he is an amazing man. He hides secrets though that she finds causes her world to shift upside all over again. Can she fix her world and set it upright once more? Can she find her love and bring him home? Will Nevi want to? So many questions rise as you read to the end. This is a page turner and You will never expect the ending that hits you!!!! I love love love this book!

I was really excited to dive into this book, as it had been quite some time since I'd read a book involving vampires. I'm always weary though, when diving into a book touching on vampires(and werewolves, and zombies, and faeries, and pretty much all thing fantastical...)because even though they don't exist, when I read about them I want it to be realistic. Well, I have to say that Eileen Sheehan has a true talent for that. I found her characters to be realistic and with unique personalities that really drew me into the book.
This debut vampire author is definitely one you're going to want to keep your eye on, as from what I've heard this is certainly just the beginning for her. There is a little bit of romance, a little b it of action and a little bit of suspense all mixed up in a whole lot of awesome. I highly recommend to fans of the genre and fans of a good read in general - I absolutely *devoured* it(no vamp pun intended!) and will be recommending.

Excellent book to expand your culinary skills. This book really has something for everything as long as you are willing to try new dishes from other countries and you don't have to cook dishes from places that you don't want to or that don't appeal to you. Mostly you can have fun and introduce yourself and your family to something new and exciting.

I've always liked trying new and different tastes in food, this book provides an excellent array of recipes to compleDip Recipes: 101 Delicious Dips - Appetizer Dips To Make Your Mouth Waterment even more any type of food!
From sweet to spicy dips, as well as vegetarian and meaty dips there's truly a recipe for everyone included in this book.
I am specially eager to try and make some of the seafood dips, they seem easy to make and the pictues included make them look quite delicious!.

I would definetly recomment the book for anybody who's trying to learn some quick and easy ways to complement their food

easy and yummy

This was exactly the kind of book I've been looking for. As a vegetarian, I was sure that there were no dip options other than guacamole, and salsa or what I'd get from the store. This book proved me wrong. Every recipe in this book looked good to eat, well the vegetarian and the meat free recipes did t least and they're so easy to make.

About the Author

Danny Bowien is the chef and cofounder of three restaurants: Mission Chinese Food in San Francisco and New York and Mission Cantina in New York. In 2008 he improbably won the Pesto World Championship in Genoa, Italy, and in 2013 the James Beard Foundation named him Rising Star Chef of the Year. He was born in Korea, raised in Oklahoma, and now lives in New York with his wife, Youngmi, and their son, Mino.

Chris Ying worked as designer, editor, and publisher of McSweeney's before becoming editor in chief of Lucky Peach. He is the coauthor of Ivan Ramen and a founder of the nonprofit organization ZeroFoodprint. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Jami.

Great book! With caveats...

As mentioned, this book is like half life/restaurant interview/story, so if you're looking for 300 recipes, this isn't the book for you. Then again, I also wasn't expecting 300 recipes because, having been to Mission Chinese, they don't really have the kind of menu that you would expect to find 300 recipes in a book. However this book has most/all the hits the restaurant is known for, so if you're looking for a way to recreate them you should check it out. See Table of Contents picture since Amazon isn't providing one:

Great book and even better cook book

Great book and even better cook book. Look, if your into American style chinese food then look no further. The author admits this isn't classic chinese. It's new age, its bold, spicy and great food. Is it easy to cook? No. Are the ingredients readily available? No. But your on Amazon now, and you can order most of the ingredients online. You can use the ingredients on other recipes. If you like David Changs MomoFuku, then this is right up your alley. You want easy to cook, everyday asian style recipes? Then look at Lucky Peach's 101 Easy Asian Recipes. Great read, great cook book, good times.

The recipes look amazing, and most aren't overly involved

The recipes look amazing, and most aren't overly involved. There are recipes that will involve ordering ingredients online if you don't live in a city with a large Asian market, and there are recipes that involve advanced cooking techniques, but it's not every recipe--and some of us enjoy a good 3-day-long recipe once and awhile! I've already learned a new way to make mapo tofu, and I'm excited to try the dandan noodles variations. Great purchase.
