This book is ideal for making sure a healthy meal is always ready at any time. I love the concept of making healthy food in advance & freezing them. It makes it very easy to come home from work after a long day and to look forward to spending time with the family rather than working in the kitchen. It is a win-win. There is a major cost saving to making food at home rather than eating out and the food can be prepared healthy for the entire family. That is the premise of the book and the recipes are wonderful! A few of my family’s favorites are Tender Fish Packets, Spanish Inspired Steak, and Reuben Casserole Low-Carb style for the meat eaters in my family. Since I am a vegetarian, this type of meal preparation is very helpful to me so I do not have to make many meals at a time. The main dish and a vegetarian side makes the dinner complete. I recommend this book to help families make the most of the grocery dollar without sacrificing on good nutrition and great flavor!

I love this bundle, both books have a special bunch of recipes which seem to be so delicious and not so hard to prepare. The concept of freezer-friendly dishes is perfect for me, mostly no time especially in the evenings to spend an hour or so in cooking. Freezer meals for slowcooker are time-saving and healthy. We had few meals prepared, no troubles at all, we enjoyed our new dishes. Thank a lot!

The wait is over!! FINALLY!!! A truly authentic Italian sauce and pasta cookbook!!

It's not often that you will find a book marked as "authentic" and it really IS authentic! I was very impressed with all of the recipes! I love the tidbits that the author tells with each recipe. Which part of Italy a certain recipe came from and the alternate ingredients from other areas. There were a few ingredients that I was not really sure what they were.. but, I am sure a quick check with a grocery will answer those questions. If you are looking for REAL Italian sauces and pasta.. this is the book you've been waiting to read! And, then.. make! I'm looking forward to making quite a few of these. So many seafood recipes too!

As a bachelor I love this book and it will certainly work well for on-the-go mums and families as well. Real yummy (and very different) recipes in this book and easy to prepare & to top it all they're healthy as well. Preparation methods easy to follow and great graphics too. Heidi has managed to breath a fresh breeze of air into this book with her witty way of presentation. Very Nice!

Too far to visit one of the cocktail clubs? Here's the next best thing!

Four young men with a vision which began with one cocktail club in Paris....eight years later, and they have six wildly successful cocktail clubs, each with a different theme and ambience, three in Paris and the others in London, New York, and Ibiza. This book details the history of each place, and lists more than 80 recipes for their very unusual cocktails, accompanied by full-page photos of each. in addition, there are sections at the end which deal with mixing "classic" drinks, and creating your own syrups and tinctures.

Some of the recipes call for ingredients which are unusual and very specific, so you may have to do some substituting. In fact I had to Google the names of several ingredients (Aperol, shochu, Suze, Byrrh?) And they are kind enough to include a recipe for homemade falernum, which is wonderful because there isn't any real falernum to be found outside of Bermuda--- we've tried. But there are enough recipes which use readily available ingredients so that we had plenty to try out while staying true to the original. Here's the biggest hit in our household:

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

80ml (3 fl oz) Appleton V/X rum
20ml (3/4 fl oz) Kraken Black spiced rum
60ml (2 1/4 fl oz) fresh pineapple juice
20ml (3/4 fl oz) fresh lemon juice
Large spoonful coconut ice cream
40 ml (1 1/2 fl oz) passion fruit syrup
Ice

It is prepared by putting all ingredients except ice into a blender and then serving with ice in a frozen hollowed-out pineapple. Try this once and you will want to buy the book!

This book is beautifully presented, heavy glossy pages with attractive fonts and lovely photos. Its obvious that some thought went into the design, this is a pleasure to look at and would make a great gift for the cocktail enthusiast in your life.

Delicious and easy to follow recipes. Mmmmm good.

If you want to have a collection of delicious homemade tried and true recipes that include all types of breads, cakes, cookies, pie crusts, empanada's, tarts and quiches all in one book, you will definitely want to purchase this book. Just this morning, I tried Linda's "Best Banana Bread". Let me tell you, the kitchen had the greatest scent of fresh bananas and my husband couldn't wait to try it. He loved it. "Meet Me in My Cape Cod Kitchen" lets you share Linda's favorite recipes collected with your family. I do have to share that Linda is also my daughter and we are very proud of her.

Delightful...but with a few missteps.

I love New England, and I absolutely adore seafood. I couldn’t wait to get into this cookbook. You’d think I’d dive right into a great seafood dish, but that didn’t happen. I received the book a day or two before my oldest daughter’s 16th birthday. She doesn’t care for cake, but she loves cheesecake, so I had given her the option this year of either buying her a classic New York Cheesecake, or we could make one together. She opted for the two of us to make one and this cookbook happened to have a recipe for Fancy New York Cheesecake. It had to stay in the oven longer than the recipe called for, but the results were more than worth it. It was amazing!! She’s already asked that we make it again next year for her birthday. Actually, I think it was more along the lines of every year until she leaves home!

So, surely the seafood came next! Nope. Though it was calling my name, it was time for holiday baking. With multiple neighbors to make plates of baked goods for, we had to get hopping. While browsing this book, I ran across the Hazelnut Shortbread Cookies. Ahhh! Hazelnuts are my favorite nut…well, they probably tie with pistachios. I knew I had to try them. These little gems are keepers!! Everyone who tried them loved them. It’s just going to make it that much harder on me that hazelnuts are only available around the holidays here. Sigh!

We also made the Dr. T’s Date & Bacon Appetizer, though we stuffed some of them with a whole almond, and some with a small stick of Asiago cheese. They are so delicious!

Okay, I’m going to make some seafood!! I decided to go with a classic…clam chowder. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill here. If you are a novice cook or have never made clam chowder before, I do NOT recommend you starting with this recipe! I don’t know if she was assuming people had made it before and so everything didn’t have to be listed or stated, but ingredients and steps in the recipe were just completely missing!! I had to posit from common sense and past experience to get a decent pot out of this. It didn’t end there. The more I looked through the book, the more issues I found. The picture for the Seafood Fettuccini (which is also one of the photos on the front cover) doesn’t match the recipe. It looks like the fish is coated with something, but there is nothing in the recipe about coating the fish. In fact, the directions for cooking the fish itself are fairly vague. It also shows chopped tomatoes in the photo, but they are nowhere in the recipe or ingredient list.

While this cookbook was not exactly everything I had hoped for, it is still a pretty good cookbook. It’s worth it for the cheesecake and Hazelnut Shortbread Cookie recipes!!

In fact, I bought Linda Steele’s book as a gift and was astounded that every recipe looked delicious, elegant and simple to make! Of course I had to get one for myself to try such gems as ‘Linda’s Supreme Lemon Cake’; ‘Hazelnut Shortbread Cookies’; ‘Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread’; ‘Cranberry Biscotti & White Chocolate’; ‘Summer Vegetable Tart’; ‘Arugula, Goat Cheese & Pine Nut Salad’; and ‘Seafood Fettuccini’.

What resonates with this author and her superb collection of recipes is its authenticity; a true gift from her soul. With the voice of writer and the heart of a mother, Steele infuses her ‘seaside recipes’ with love, inner richness, and baking talent. You are never to old to need a coach!

I am the mom of tennis player who is in her senior year at a university in North Carolina. Senior years are always filled with trials and tribulations and sometimes it must feel that they are on the loosing end of a 0-6 0-5 match. There seams to be more calls home in their senior year than there was in the freshman year. Between calls home this week, I found this book, downloaded it and thought I would pick it up this weekend. This morning I picked it up and never put it down! The story line sucked me in like a tornado and I couldn't put it down until I was done. Not only did I learn more about the game of tennis but I had to laugh when some of the 9 life lessons where ones my daughter and I discussed this week. This book is not just for tennis players, college athletes, or seniors about to graduate, because truth be told, I needed to hear some of the same lessons. I stress to my children all the time chapters 4 and 5. I needed chapters 6 and 7. Good job Coach!

Unexpected

I went into this book thinking...okay, tennis and motivation, 5 pages in and I will be channel surfing again. Well 2 hours later I am reading the last page and thinking wow what a story. I compare it to a nurse distracting a child with a toy or lolipop while the doctor gives him a shot. David has woven a tale that draws the reader in (even a non tennis player like me) so well that you don't realize that he is teaching you something too. "One push. Never stop." was haunting for me. I knew from David's first novel that he was a wonderful storyteller, but this practical use of those skills was a great surprise. Do yourself a favor and give this book a try...I'll wager that you won't be able to put it down either.

About the Author
Elizabeth A. Lance has been writing since 1987. She was first published in 2011 and then picked up by a publisher in 2012. She has since left the publisher to venture out on her own. Elizabeth writes YA Paranormal Romance, Regency Romance, and Contemporary Romance and likes to dabble in Steampunk. She currently has four series, The Regency Collection (A series of short novellas), The Agents for the Crown Series (A Regency Romantic Suspense series), The Soul Mates Series (A YA Paranormal Romance Series), and The Goddess of Love Series (Mostly contemporary with a hint of Greek Mythology). She resides in Southern Indiana with her husband Brandon and their two children. When she isn't writing, she is substitute teaching, working on her editing business, hanging out with her family, or watching soccer (She is a very proud and loud Soccer Mom). She enjoys watching TV and Movies (80's movies are her favorite), and listening to music of almost all genres (Except gangsta rap...She is so not a fan!) Tony travels to New York, only to discover his family's secret is even bigger than he could have imagined. The Fae War is in full swing and there is a red-headed she-devil fighting the dark creatures too. Tony is instantly intrigued by the fireball throwing, Irish witch with a sassy attitude. Never in his life could he have imagined such an enticing girl as Jillian O'Neal. Protecting her becomes his number one priority.
Jillian O'Neal is a Sorceress...her tough, sassy attitude sometimes gets her into trouble, but she could never have imagined the trouble meeting someone like Tony Gunari-- a real Sióga Feiceann, was going to cause her. And if rumor had it right, he was something even more important to the world than anyone knew. Her duty, according to her mother, was to protect Tony Gunari at all costs. The Review
I loved the first in this series, I was so looking forward to this one, it really was worth the wait, I have been waiting patiently to hear all about Tony's life in the Soul Mates Series, I think that the author has hooked me really well with this series, I love all the characters, we have the same in this one as in the first, with a few new ones to add some spice to the mix, I love the way they all interact with each other, the relationships between them all was fantastic, I have fallen in love with the world created by the author, The characters were very well described, the action scenes were well thought out, I could actually see them in my head as a film, which to me is a great book, I laughed as there were plenty of funny scenes, I would love to see this series made into a film, it has everything going for it,

A Lovely Addition To The Soul Mates Series

Tony Gunari's world has changed completely ever since he learned that his best friend, Max, is both a Shifter and a Fae. Not to mention that his existence as a Sióga Feiceann has been confirmed. While those of his kind are labeled as Fae assassin's, he knows he's not a threat to the Light Fae world. In fact, he's an avid supporter, and would do anything to aid Max with anything he needs.

When his protection becomes compromised, Tony is forced to flee to the one place he never thought he'd set foot in ever again. His uncle is less than pleased to see him, and yearns to send him back to his mother's arms. Unfortunately, that's something that won't happen just yet. The Unseelie threat has become far more cumbersome than anyone could have ever imagined, and it must be vanquished, at all costs.

Allowed to reside with his uncle for the time being, he soon begins to learn the in's and out's of his unique heritage. Granted, being a Sióga Feiceann isn't as easy as it sounds. Never-the-less, Tony is quite willing to learn as much as possible in order to lend his uncle and those beneath his tutelage a helping hand.

Ironically, there's one thing he never counted upon: Jillian O'Neal. Her sudden appearance has rocked his world in more ways than one. The fact that he finds himself greatly attracted to her does nothing to deter him from the task at hand, however. Although, he cannot deny that he's drawn to her as they spend more and more time together.

Tony vows to protect her from the danger crawling towards their very doorstep. While she may be a tad reluctant to allow himself to do so, she finds it hard to remain at arm's length from him for long. Deep inside, they're tied to one another, even if they won't admit it. He soon learns more about himself than he ever thought possible. He, Max, and his new friends will need to set their differences aside if they're to band together in hopes of vanquishing the oncoming evil, once for all.

This was truly a lovely addition to the Soul Mates series. I enjoyed it immensely. This takes up a little ways after Soul Mate ends, and lends further insight to the existing war between the Fae and the Unseelie kingdom. It was nice to see Max and Tony grow stronger in the face of such adversity. The brief glimpses into Max and Anna's world as parents was certainly endearing. I did encounter a couple spots where certain punctuation was missing/grammar needed to be fixed, but I didn't let that deter me from enjoying the story itself. I look forward to what comes next for this very intriguing series.

absolutely loved it

General: I sincerely enjoyed book 1...this book absolutely blew it out of the water. It had all the successful elements of book 1 (original idea, captivating plot and overall well written) and added in the best characters I've seen in a YA series in awhile! Sometimes YA can be a hinderance because you're so far displaced from the MC's. That wasn't the case here, the story was well crated from start to finish as well. There was an easy sense of familiarity - despite me not being a their age or a shifter or a sorcoress. I think that was it's greatest success. The story in this book had a lot more urgency and "danger" compared to the first and the raised stakes really helped suck me in even faster. I cannot wait to see what the next one brings.

Characters: Jillian- Jillian was such a fun character! She's feisty, loyal, on top of everything and passionate. I loved her accent, it felt authentic to read it. She was a spitfire from the moment she appears until the final page. She gave the story a lot of life that is sometimes lost with "badass" heroine because they tend to be cold and she was anything but.

Tony- Tony is a great alpha male and hero. He starts off a little understated and more of a "kid" than I would've expected. But when he's thrown into a secret he didn't see coming AND met Jillian he really grew up quickly. He was fierce and sexy.
