About the Author
Since the author’s home backs up to the Goose Creek Reservoir on one of the back waters, it gives a place to sit, watch, feed and observe birds and other wildlife that a boat alone would not allow. Though a hunting and fishing license is purchased each year, hunting is with cameras; with such shooting, there is no season or limit. The author enjoys his kayak, from which most of these pictures were taken. He also has a tree stand in his back yard for pictures from a different perspective. Carl is a retired minister and retired adjunct College Professor. He has a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Upper Iowa University and an earned Master’s Degree from Olivet Nazarene University.

Such an Incredible source for anyone who wants to know about South Carolina

I live on the reservoir, having just moved back to South Carolina. There are hundreds of birds and plants I know almost nothing about. I love this book. I will use it almost daily to research what exactly I want to know about this beautiful, hidden resource that few people know about. It's a great reference book just for South Carolina. Love the graphs that tell you when you can see certain plants in bloom or ones who have migrated here at a certain time. One of the best reference books about this beautiful state at our local library. Thanks for taking so many years to make such a detailed account of your life here.
