To lower cholesterol levels we must follow a few simple guidelines. Some foods need to be excluded from our menu if not forever, then for the time being and should be consumed only very rarely. It comes as no surprise that we can`t have burgers, sausages, bacon and kebabs, also no pastries, pies, cakes, rich creamy desserts and biscuits.
What do we have to add to our diet? The foods to include are cholesterol busting foods that act like superheroes and stave off bad cholesterol. These superfoods have the ability to help lower cholesterol if eaten in significant quantities and regularly. Such are all foods containing good omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids. Vegetable, seed, and nut oils, such as olive, walnut and corn oils, as well as all kinds of nuts and oily fish such as herring, pilchards, mackerel, salmon and trout. They are good, beneficial foods that balance cholesterol and protect against inflammation.

This book was a big surprise for me. I expected the recipes to be bland. They are actually very good. I have high cholesterol, but to be honest I would eat these dishes even if I did not.
